Why should you sign up for a KrisFlyer membership?

You can earn miles easier.

You can accelerate your miles earning when you fly via Singapore Airlines, Star Alliance, Scoot, and other partner airlines, such as Virgin America, Virgin Australia, Virgin Atlantic, JetBlue, Alaska Airline, and Vistara.

You can earn miles even without flying.

Even if you don’t fly, you can still earn miles when you shop, dine, stay at partner establishments, and use the services of over 200 non-airline partners.

In the Philippines, some of the financial service partners include American Express, BPI Credit Cards, Citibank, CTBC Bank, EastWest Bank, Gobear.com, HSBC, Maybank, Metrobank, and Security Bank. Reward or bonus points that you earn from any of these partners can be exchanged for KrisFlyer miles.

You can also earn KrisFlyer miles when you shop online at KrisFlyer Spree. Just log in to the site and click “Shop Now”.

Earn KrisFlyer miles for every 10 USD that you spend. Shop for clothes, toys and games, electronics, health and beauty items, home and garden accessories, luxury items, or sports accessories.

You can also spend on travel, entertainment, food and drink, banking and insurance products, as well as office and business products, or even utilities.

KrisFlyer miles that you earn will be displayed on your KrisFlyer Spree account after they are validated within 7 days.

But wait, there’s more! You can earn 1.5 KrisFlyer miles for every 1 USD you spend inflight or on KrisShop.com. The miles will be credited to your account within 30 days.

You can use your miles for a variety of purposes.

Redeem miles for award tickets.

You can redeem a Saver Award or an Advantage Award. The Saver is the more popular choice among flyers. But because it’s more popular, it also means limited availability.

The Advantage Award offers more seat options but requires more miles. And by more we mean double miles.

Mix KrisFlyer miles and cash.

Your KrisFlyer miles are also good as cash when it comes to flight bookings via singaporeair.com.

Simply log in to the website and book your flight as normal, and then select KrisFlyer miles when you get to the payment stage.

Pay for the whole fare if you have enough miles, or use them to reduce what you need to pay with your debit or credit card.

KrisFlyer miles can also be used to select seats or purchase additional baggage in advance.

Donate miles.

Your KrisFlyer miles can go to a good cause, too. Currently, KrisFlyer supports Make a Wish Singapore.

Even if you don’t reside in Singapore, you can still make your miles donation. A minimum of 1,000 KrisFlyer miles is required.

You can use your miles for your family or people you know.

You can assign up to five people to be your redemption nominees. These can be your family members, friends, or even colleagues.

As redemption nominees, they can enjoy award tickets and flight upgrades as well.
