If you’re planning on getting a credit card or switching to a different one, note that some of these cards only offer lounge access in Philippine airports, while some offer access to lounges in different airports worldwide with certain memberships.
EastWest Priority Visa Infinite Credit Card
With an EastWest Priority Visa Infinite credit card, you can enjoy great travel privileges and exclusive access to airport lounges.
As long as your card is valid and your account is in good standing, your complimentary Priority Pass membership will remain active, too. This is given only to the principal cardholder, though.
Enjoy up to 4 complimentary access per year, provided you meet the Total Relationship Balance required.
Supplementary cardholders, guests, or non-Priority clients will have to pay a fee of 27 USD which will be charged to the cardholder’s account. You will also need to pay the same amount when you use up your 4 complimentary access for the year.
There are over 1,200 airport lounges in more than 140 countries and 500 cities that honor Priority Pass memberships. All you need to do is present your Priority Pass card at the participating airport lounge. If you want to check all the partner airports, you can visit www.prioritypass.com.
The EastWest Priority Visa Infinite credit card also gives you 2 complimentary Sky View lounge access at the NAIA Terminal 3 per year. All you need to do is present your EastWest Priority Visa Infinite credit card and a valid government-issued ID at the lounge entrance.
Like the Priority Pass, to have access to the Sky View lounge, you must meet the required minimum Total Relationship Balance during your lounge visit. Guests and companions will need to pay a fee of 27 USD.
Citi PremierMiles® Card
Enjoy free DragonPass membership with your Citi PremierMiles credit card and receive 2 complimentary lounge passes per year.
With DragonPass, you can also avail of airport car services and a 20% discount on your next lounge access when you use up your complimentary access.
There’s an option for you to avail of the airport meet and greet or limousine service when you arrive at select airports as well.
Your DragonPass membership is valid for one year from the time you signed up or registered. Register as a member via the exclusive DragonPass link that will be provided by Citi Philippines. You will then need to provide your name, type of Citi credit card, card number, card expiry, Citi-registered email address and mobile number, CVV, and date of birth.
An email will be sent to you containing your DragonPass ID and PIN which you will use to access your DragonPass account. You can then download the DragonPass mobile app with your log-in details to start using the service.
Your membership will remain active as long as your Citi PremierMiles credit card is active and in good standing.
You can bring one guest with you to access the lounge. Children who are 2 years old and younger can go in free of charge. Just show your DragonPass e-card, Citi PremierMiles card, boarding pass, and passport at the lounge.
American Express® Platinum Credit Card
Another credit card that lets you enjoy complimentary access to different airport lounges in the Philippines and in other countries is the American Express Platinum card.
If you’re departing from the NAIA Terminal 1, simply head on over to the Club Manila airport lounge and present your American Express Platinum credit card to get your free access.
This card also grants you free access to the Skyview Lounge in NAIA Terminal 3 and the Miascor Lounge at the Clark International Airport.
You can access different lounges worldwide with Priority Pass Select as well. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, you can work, relax, eat, or drink in over 1,200 airport lounges in different cities.
Your American Express Platinum card also gives you free access to the Centurion Lounge at the Hong Kong International Airport.
If you’re traveling to the US, you can enter the Centurion Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth, Houston Intercontinental, Las Vegas, New York-La Guardia, Philadelphia International, Miami, Seattle-Tacoma, and San Francisco airports for free. You can bring in 2 travel companions with you. Simply present your American Express Platinum card together with your boarding pass and a government-issued ID bearing the same name on your credit card.
BPI SkyMiles Platinum Mastercard
If you have a BPI SkyMiles Platinum Mastercard, you can enjoy lounge access at the Pacific Club at the NAIA Terminal 3.
The primary cardholder or supplementary card holder is allowed to bring 1 guest or travel companion. An excess of 1 guest can get a discounted rate of 20 USD which will be charged to the card holder. Children who are 2 years old and younger can get in for free.
RCBC Bankard World Mastercard
When you own an RCBC Bankard World Mastercard, you also enjoy a complimentary Priority Pass membership. Regardless of which airline you’re flying with, or ticket class you purchased, or frequent flyer / air miles program you are a member of, you can enjoy all the conveniences that are offered in the participating airport lounge.
You also get free access at NAIA Terminal 3’s Skyview Lounge. You can bring in one travel companion for free — any excess of the plus one guest will be charged a fee of 12 USD per person. Charges will reflect on your RCBC Bankard World Mastercard.
Children two years old and younger can go in for free. Maximum is 2 guests only.
To avail, log in to www.prioritypass.com before your flight and choose the lounge. Show your Priority Pass membership card at the lounge and you can relax, get free drinks, or watch cable TV. You can also use the meeting rooms, phones, or fax machines and connect to the WiFi so you can stream your shows or reply to urgent emails.
Your Priority Pass membership is free, but you will be charged 27 USD if you avail of the amenities in the lounge. But you can have this charge reversed when you spend at least 70,000 PHP locally or 1,500 USD overseas. It can both be a single purchase or accumulated purchases.
