The Best Credit Card Promos in the Philippines (2026)

Planning to celebrate a milestone with family, or eyeing a long-overdue trip to Japan or Bali? Maybe you’re just tired of paying full price at your go-to restaurant while everyone else at the table seems to be getting a discount.

If the charge is happening anyway, you might as well get something back for it. Welcome eGCs. Dining vouchers. Waived annual fees for life. These are real, they’re running right now, and four of them expire by June 30.

This is the 2026 refresh of the best credit card promos in the Philippines. Below: what’s live this quarter, which cards are worth applying for, and which promos are quietly disappearing in the next few weeks.

If you’re still shopping for your first card (or your next one), there’s a quick comparison of annual fees and interest rates near the top so you can pick smart from the start.

One reminder before diving in: the BSP caps credit card interest at 3% per month, or 36% per year. If a bank quotes you anything higher, something’s off.

A lot has moved since the last refresh. Four lifetime fee waivers are running in parallel, and most close on the same date.

  • Metrobank Mastercard Welcome Gift 2026 ends June 30, 2026. Lifetime free annual fees on the Titanium Mastercard if you spend ₱30,000 within 90 days of approval and enroll in the Metrobank Online App. Open to new cardholders with no Metrobank credit card in the past 6 months.

  • Bank of Commerce No Annual Fee For Life runs January 1 to June 30, 2026. Spend tiers from ₱60,000 (Classic) to ₱200,000 (World). Cancel within 18 months of claiming the waiver and the annual fee gets charged back as a cancellation fee.
  • HSBC Red Platinum Waived Annual Fees For Life runs April 30 to June 30, 2026. Spend ₱60,000 within 60 days of approval and register on the HSBC Philippines app to qualify. Open to applicants with no HSBC credit card in the past 15 months and an existing primary card from another bank held for at least 6 months.

Between Metrobank, Bank of Commerce, HSBC, and BPI, four bank-direct welcome promos all close within 56 days of each other. HSBC’s offer is the freshest in the market, having opened on April 30.

Bank of Commerce credit card promos

bank_of_commerce_no_annual_fee_until_june_30_2026

For a lifetime fee waiver without a high income bar, Bank of Commerce’s No Annual Fee For Life promo is one of the most accessible offers running this quarter. The promo opened January 1, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026.

To qualify, you need to be a new principal cardholder with no existing or canceled BankCom credit card in the past 12 months, and hit the spend tier for your card type:

  • Classic: ₱60,000
  • Gold: ₱100,000
  • Platinum: ₱150,000
  • World: ₱200,000
  • Cash Installment: ₱150,000

BDO credit card promos

bdo_crowne_plaza_promo_july_2026

BDO continues to run one of the busiest dining promo calendars among the major issuers, with rotating restaurant offers across card tiers and partner merchants.

There’s no single flagship welcome promo running right now the way BPI, Metrobank, and RCBC have set theirs up. BDO’s value lives in the everyday merchant tie-ins.

If you dine out often or shop with the same partner brands repeatedly, the BDO offers page is worth bookmarking and checking monthly. The partner roster rotates frequently throughout the year.

BPI credit card promos

BPI’s Back-to-Back Perks promo is the most generous bank-direct welcome offer running this quarter. It opened March 10, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026.

Here’s the structure for new principal cardholders:

  • BPI Amore Cashback Card: ₱6,000 welcome eGCs with ₱30,000 spend; ₱180,000 yearly spend to waive the annual fee
  • BPI Platinum Rewards Card: ₱12,000 welcome eGCs with ₱60,000 spend; ₱400,000 yearly spend to waive the annual fee
  • BPI Signature Card: ₱18,000 welcome eGCs with ₱90,000 spend

Spend periods slide based on approval month and qualification can extend up to September 30, 2026 depending on when the card is issued.

Bonus eGCs of ₱250 to ₱1,000 also layer in for select depositors and customers who hold two qualifying cards.

BPI Amore Cashback Card

For everyday value, the BPI Amore Cashback Card is one of the strongest practical picks at this income tier.

It earns 4% cashback on supermarkets and department stores, 1% on drug stores and utilities, and 0.3% on all other local retail spend, with an annual cashback cap of ₱15,000. Cardholders also get unlimited access to Ayala Malls customer and family lounges.

BPI Rewards Card

The BPI Rewards Card earns 1 reward point for every ₱35 spent, with non-expiring points. It comes with complimentary travel insurance up to ₱2 million when travel fare is charged to the card. Annual fee is ₱1,550 from year 2 onwards.

China Bank credit card promos

The China Bank Cash Rewards Mastercard offers up to 6% cash rebate on qualifying spend, but two caveats matter before applying.

The membership fee is ₱299 per month (waived for the first year for accounts booked from July 15, 2020 onwards), which works out to about ₱3,588 per year if not waived.

The card is exclusively available to China Bank depositors, so you’ll need an existing China Bank deposit account to apply. Cash rebate earnings are capped at ₱1,000 per cycle month.

EastWest credit card promos

The EastWest Visa Platinum carries a ₱3,600 principal annual fee, automatically waived when annual spend reaches ₱1.5 million.

First-year fee waivers apply to new-to-bank cardholders only. The card also comes with a ₱5,000 welcome bonus and 24/7 concierge services.

For travelers willing to invest in a higher-tier card, the EastWest Platinum Mastercard has perpetually waived annual fees on principal and supplementary cards, with airport lounge access and travel insurance up to ₱20 million.

HSBC credit card promos

HSBC Red Platinum Mastercard’s Waived Annual Fees For Life promo runs from April 30 to June 30, 2026. To qualify, new principal cardholders need to:

  • Spend at least ₱60,000 anywhere within 60 days from card approval
  • Register on the HSBC Philippines app
  • Have no existing or canceled HSBC credit card in the past 15 months
  • Hold an existing locally-issued primary credit card from another bank for at least 6 months

Minimum annual income requirement is ₱400,000. The card also offers a 6% rebate on the first Caltex fuel purchase, with a 3% rebate year-round on subsequent fuel spend.

Metrobank credit card promos

Metrobank’s Mastercard Welcome Gift 2026 is the lifetime fee waiver to move on this quarter. The promo runs March 1 to June 30, 2026.

To lock in lifetime free annual fees on the Titanium Mastercard (principal card plus one supplementary), applicants need to:

  • Be a new Metrobank cardholder with no existing or canceled Metrobank principal credit card in the past 6 months
  • Enroll the new card in the Metrobank Online App within 90 days of card approval
  • Spend at least ₱30,000 within 90 days from card approval

Valid spend covers retail (domestic, international, online), Bills2Pay, recurring subscription payments like Spotify and Netflix, and supplementary card transactions. Cash advances and quasi-cash transactions like funding GrabPay or Maya Wallet do not count.

The Titanium Mastercard also earns 1 reward point per ₱20 spent as the base rate, plus 2 points per ₱20 on dining, department stores, and online transactions, so it stays useful as an everyday card after the welcome promo is locked in.

RCBC credit card promos

Two things are happening at RCBC this quarter that frequent flyers should know about.

Welcome Gift, ending soon

The RCBC AirMiles Visa Signature Welcome Gift closes May 31, 2026. New-to-RCBC applicants can earn up to 15,000 Signature Airmiles by hitting the spend requirement within 60 days of card receipt.

Card transition, June 11

Existing RCBC Visa Platinum cardholders are being upgraded to RCBC AirMiles Visa Signature effective June 11, 2026. Annual fees move from ₱5,000 to ₱5,500 for principal cards, and from ₱2,500 to ₱2,750 for supplementary cards, unless the account is already on No Annual Fee For Life status.

Key perks of the AirMiles Visa Signature:

  • 1 air mile per ₱25 on international transactions, ₱48 per mile locally
  • 1.50% foreign currency conversion fee through December 31, 2026 (standard rate is 1.70% after)
  • Complimentary Priority Pass membership with access to PAGSS lounges at NAIA Terminals 1 and 3
  • Free travel insurance up to ₱5 million when travel fare is charged to the card
  • Up to 100% temporary credit limit increase during travel period
  • Minimum annual income requirement is ₱1,000,000.

RCBC JCB Platinum

For a JCB option, the RCBC JCB Platinum earns 1 reward point per ₱25 spent in Japan and as low as ₱36 per point on local spend. It includes free travel insurance up to ₱1 million plus complimentary access to JCB and LoungeKey-network airport lounges across Asia. Annual fee is ₱3,600.

UnionBank credit card promos

UnionBank doesn’t run a single flagship welcome promo the way BPI and Metrobank do, but it has the deepest bench of no-annual-fee-for-life cards in the market. Three to know.

UnionBank Cash Back Visa Platinum

The UnionBank Cash Back Visa Platinum comes with no annual fees for life via the current promo, plus a free ₱5,000 eGift when you spend ₱20,000 within 60 days of card approval.

It earns up to 6% cashback on supermarket purchases, 2% cashback on Meralco bills paid via UnionBank Online, and 0.20% on all other purchases. To unlock the 6% and 2% rates, cardholders need at least ₱10,000 in non-grocery, non-Meralco spend per billing cycle. Total rebates are capped at ₱1,250 per billing month, or ₱15,000 per year.

Minimum annual income is ₱180,000 for carded applicants or ₱250,000 for non-carded. One of the more accessible lifetime-no-fee cards in the market.

UnionBank U Visa Platinum

A straightforward no-annual-fee-for-life card with no late payment fees and no overlimit fees. It also offers a 10% rebate on interest charges when the minimum amount due is paid on or before the due date. Minimum annual income is ₱180,000 for carded applicants or ₱250,000 for non-carded.

UnionBank Rewards Visa Platinum

The UnionBank Rewards Visa Platinum earns 3 reward points per ₱30 spent on dining and retail, both locally and abroad (1 point per ₱30 base rate elsewhere). Points don’t expire and can be redeemed for cash credits, merchandise, or air miles. New cardholders unlock no annual fees for life by spending ₱20,000 within 60 days of card approval.

UnionBank travel cards

For travelers, UnionBank’s Miles Plus and Cebu Pacific co-branded cards remain the better fit if Cebu Pacific is the default carrier, or if broader airline flexibility matters more than locking into a single program.

Credit card dining promos

If a great credit card promo means a Friday-night restaurant discount or a better cashback rate on a weekly grocery run, this is where the value shows up most often.

Card Dining perk Best for
BDO Gold / Platinum Mastercard Rotating partner restaurant discounts (offers refresh monthly) Frequent diners across multiple chains
HSBC Red Platinum Mastercard Rewards multiplier on dining and lifestyle spend Lifestyle spenders meeting the ₱400K income bar
Metrobank Titanium Mastercard 2 reward points per ₱20 on dining, department stores, online Everyday diners stacking points
UnionBank Rewards Visa Platinum 3 reward points per ₱30 on dining and retail (non-expiring) Non-expiring points collectors

For everyday cashback rather than points, the BPI Amore Cashback Card is one of the strongest practical picks at this income tier.

  • 4% on supermarkets and department stores
  • 1% on drug stores and utilities
  • 0.3% on other local retail spend, with a ₱15,000 annual cashback cap.

Cardholders also get unlimited access to Ayala Malls customer and family lounges.

Travel credit card promos

For cardholders charging flights or hotel stays this year, a few options are worth comparing before swiping:

  • BPI Rewards Card. Complimentary travel insurance up to ₱2 million when travel fare is charged to the card. 1 reward point per ₱35 spent, points don’t expire.
  • RCBC AirMiles Visa Signature — 1 air mile per ₱25 on international transactions, ₱48 per mile locally, free travel insurance up to ₱5 million, complimentary Priority Pass membership, and up to 100% temporary credit limit increase during travel periods.
  • RCBC JCB Platinum — free travel insurance up to ₱1 million, complimentary access to JCB and LoungeKey-network airport lounges across Asia.
  • UnionBank Miles Plus and Cebu Pacific co-brand — best fit for Cebu Pacific loyalists, or for cardholders who want broader airline flexibility instead of locking into one program.

Merchant partner promos

Beyond bank-direct welcome offers, a handful of merchant tie-ins are worth checking before booking or buying:

  • Bistro Group promos. Recurring discounts at Italianni’s, TGI Fridays, Hard Rock Cafe, and other Bistro Group restaurants for BPI, BDO, and select issuer cardholders
  • Agoda credit card promos. Discount codes on hotel bookings tied to specific issuers, refreshed quarterl
  • Klook credit card promos. Tour and activity discounts for cardholders, often layered with Klook’s own platform sales
  • RCBC Hexagon Club promos. Premium dining and lifestyle access for RCBC cardholders at partner venues

These rotate frequently. Bookmark the merchant promo pages instead of relying on screenshots from last quarter.

People also ask about credit card promos in the Philippines

Before applying for any of the cards above, here are the questions cardholders ask most often when comparing welcome offers, fee waivers, and the fine print behind each promo.

1. Which bank has the best credit card promo right now in 2026?

It depends on what you’re optimizing for. For the biggest welcome eGC, BPI’s Back-to-Back Perks gives up to ₱18,000 on the Signature Card. For lifetime free annual fees, Metrobank’s Mastercard Welcome Gift 2026, HSBC Red Platinum’s Waived Annual Fees For Life, and Bank of Commerce’s NAFFL promo all close June 30, 2026.

2. Are welcome eGCs worth it if I don’t normally spend ₱30,000 in three months?

Only if the spend would have happened anyway. Front-loading purchases just to hit a welcome threshold usually costs more than the eGC is worth. Stick to a normal spend pattern, time the application around a planned big-ticket purchase, and only chase the eGC if the math works without behavior change.

3. Can I apply for multiple cards from different banks to stack welcome promos?

Yes, and many cardholders do. Each bank evaluates applications independently against their own credit and income criteria. Two things to keep in mind: each application can show as a credit inquiry, and stacking welcome spend requirements across cards can pressure monthly cash flow if not managed carefully.

4. What happens to my promo if I cancel the card within a year?

It varies by issuer. Bank of Commerce’s lifetime fee waiver requires the account to stay active and in good standing for at least 18 months from the date the waiver is claimed. Cancel inside that window and the annual fee gets charged back as a cancellation fee. Always read the cancellation clawback terms before applying.

5. Is the BSP 3% monthly interest cap going to change?

As of January 2026, the credit card industry has renewed its push to scrap the cap. For now, 3% per month (36% annually) on unpaid balances remains the ceiling. If a bank quotes anything higher, something’s off.

The real promo? Paying your card balance in full

One last thing to keep in mind: the BSP’s interest rate cap of 3% per month on unpaid credit card balances is a ceiling, not a reason to carry a balance.

The real promo is always paying your balance in full.

Which of these cards will you be applying for this quarter?
