What is the PriceLOCQ app?

The PriceLOCQ is a fuel savings app that lets you buy fuel today with its current market price at any participating SEAOIL gas station nationwide. The mobile app is dedicated to individuals, business owners, and entrepreneurs who want to use fuel hedging for personal or business use.

PriceLOCQ is available on App Store and Google Play Store for free. The main feature is pretty straightforward. You can buy gasoline and diesel up to 600 liters at today’s price. Link your debit, credit card, or GCash, and pay for it. Whenever you want to gas up, simply redeem it at your nearest SEAOIL gas station.

How does the PriceLOCQ app work?

PriceLOCQ lets you buy fuel in advance, protecting you against price hikes. You can take advantage of price rollbacks on fuel using this app. For example, if the price of gasoline today is ₱70 per liter, you may buy up to 600 liters. Buy low and hold your credits in the mobile app.

Here are PriceLOCQ key features:

  • Easy Cash-In – top up your account in four ways: debit/credit card, e-wallet, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) scheme, or online bank transfer (BDO and UnionBank only). Link your VISA or Mastercard debit or credit cards and top up for a minimum of ₱100. It supports GCash so that you can transfer funds anytime from your e-wallet. Meanwhile, for the BNPL, you must have a BillEase or Plentina account to use this feature.
  • Automatically Locates Nearest Station – it suggests the nearest SEAOIL station where you can redeem your fuel credits. The fuel prices are based on the nearest station as your reference. It will show the prices for Diesel, Gas 91, Gas 95, and Gas 97.
  • Scan to Pay – when you visit the nearest gas station, you can tell the attendant that you will redeem fuel with PriceLOQC. Use the mobile app to scan their designated QR code and redeem up to 600 liters, your daily fuel redemption limit.
  • Link RFID Accounts for Toll Payments – connect your RFID accounts, top-up anytime, and monitor your balance to avoid the inconvenience on tollways.
  • PriceLOCQ Savings Tools – monitor how much prices have moved since the specific start date, and you may also check the price difference between the date of your purchase and the planned redemption date.

  2. Download the mobile app and launch it to get started.

That’s it. You’re good to go. Once your location is set, you may start using the app.

How to cash in on PriceLOCQ app

You can cash in in four ways, depending on your preferred option and whatever is convenient on your end.

  • Debit/Credit Card – PriceLOCQ lets you cash in for a minimum of ₱100 with your VISA or Mastercard. Enter the amount and tap Continue to add a card. Enter the card details such as your card number, expiration date, CVV, cardholder name, and billing address. You may save your card for future payments.
  • GCash – enter the amount you want to cash in and ensure your e-wallet has enough balance to complete the process.
  • Billease and Plentina – you must have an account of either of these to use this feature. PriceLOCQ will prompt you to connect your account within the app.
  • Online Bank Transfer – enter the amount you want to cash in up to ₱10,000 as the maximum amount. You need to connect your BDO or UnionBank account to use this feature.

All transactions are posted in real-time, and once you purchase your fuel, it will reflect on your balances on the mobile app. This means you will see your balance for each type of fuel you are buying: Diesel, Gas 91, Gas 95, and Gas 97.

How much can I save on PriceLOCQ?

The amount of money you can save using PriceLOCQ depends on the total amount you buy daily and your consumption. Each account has a cap limit of 600 liters of fuel purchase per day for fair use of the service.

For example, if you buy 600 liters of diesel at ₱70, you pay ₱42,000 today. If there’s a price increase next week, let’s say diesel’s price will be at ₱73, then if you purchase fuel at that rate, you pay ₱43,800. Holding your fuel credit will save you ₱1,800.

The figures above are just for illustration purposes. The amount may vary for each consumer.

Can I use PriceLOCQ at any gas station?

Unfortunately, no. You can only use PriceLOCQ in SEAOIL gas stations. Mark L. Yu, the President for Retail Business and CFO of SEAOIL Philippines, was the one who founded LOCQ, OPC, and has partnered with SEAOIL Philippines Inc for this innovative service.
